Sorry for the confusion. TX=transmitter=controller. It should have 2 switches (gear and flight mode), 2 control sticks and 2 knobs (PLT and PIT) on it (as well as other stuff but these are the main controls). I highly recommend you read the 22E manual (http://www.airbornerc.com.au/download/Dragonfly_22E_Manual.pdf) and the Venom Night Ranger Manual (http://www.airbornerc.com.au/images/AirborneRC_Venom-Night-Ranger-3D.pdf) (same heli) as these provide quite a complete description of the 22E.

Ok, on the heli will be a main motor and a tail motor. These connect to the receiver (black box with a LED on it) via 2 wires each. These wires should have red plugs on them (about half way down the wires). Disconnect the plugs for both the main and tail motor to ensure these motors do not run while adjusting the pitch offset. NOTE WHICH PLUG WENT TO WHICH MOTOR so they can be reconnected later. DO NOT DISCONNECT ANYTHING FROM THE RECEIVER. DO NOT DISCONNECT ANYTHING ELSE.

Now set the controller throttle to 0% and turn it on then connect the heli battery (standard procedure). Turn on (unlocked) DIP switch 8 on the back of the controller. Adjust the PLT and/or PIT knobs on the controller, the main rotor pitch should change when ONE of the knobs is turned. Like I said before I cannot remember which one.

Once you figure out how to put some positive pitch on the blades (front of blade higher than back) then disconnect the heli battery, reconnect the motors, and give it a fly.

NOTE, USE THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK, I HAVE TRIED TO BE AS DESCRIPTIVE AS POSSIBLE, HOWEVER I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU BECOME COMFORTABLE WITH THE HELI PARTS AND OPERATION AND WHAT I HAVE SAID BEFORE DOING ANYTHING. I TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY IF YOU BREAK YOUR HELI ANY FURTHER. IF YOU ARE STILL UNSURE PLEASE ASK.

senan,
I had a chance to see my controller setup. I have a Mode 1 controller which has the PLT knob on the left and PIT knob on the right. If you configure everything as I mentioned previously, adjusting the PIT knob anti-clockwise (from - to +) you should see the pitch increase on the blade. My blade pitch offset is about 2-3 deg with the flybar level. This works well for me with the training gear attached. I hope this helps. Good luck.
