Hello

This is my first thread here on rcuniverse

Last 3 weeks I have been working on ultralight fixed pitch, 4ch(2.4GHz), fully controlable heli.
It uses:
- 5 gram brushless outrunner(2000kv)
- HW pentium 6A ESC
- GWS ics50 ESC for tail
- 2x BA 2.5g servos
- 2s100mAh battery pack
- Esky HH gyro
- AR6100 rx
Every electronic component is lightened as much as possible. For example i was able to get the ar6100 rx from 3.75g to 1.4g or esky HH gyro down to 1.7g.
Rotorhead is 170mm, motorized tail, most parts and frame from CF, bearings for mainshaft and swashplate.

As You can see on the VIDEO from second test flight it flys really stable and predictible. I have yet to make some king of canopy for it.

Thanks Guys. I forgot to mention both servos are completely custom made using 4mm vibra motors, GF sheets, and electronics from BA servos. Each one weights 1.3g and would be even lighter with smaller SMD pot.

Man, that is one stable little heli, very impressive! I don't know what you do for a living, but you could make a fortune with your skills. You are brilliant! Thanks for sharing with us.

Please keep us posted with more vids and how the canopy is coming along.

Matt

Thanks Guys. I forgot to mention both servos are completely custom made...

Kinda figured... Beautiful

I don't know if these have enough torque (probably not for a heli), but Plantraco has these really small/light magnetic actuators

That's awesome !!!

Where do you get the parts for the rota head (Walkera ?) ? The tail locks pretty tight from the video. Can you try chucking it around and do some figure 8 ?

Cheers....

Great work.

All parts are made from scratch by my hands On Sunday i will be flying on a large hall, try some ff and take another video. I use the same combo for tail that has been on my previous 50g heli(see from 05:33s http://media.putfile.com/7th-international-flying-model-picnic-Zar-2007) - GWS ics50 ESC plus esky HH gyro. It worked very well so shouldnt be any worse here.
