What do you think of this plane as a first gasser and a IMAC and later a 3d plane (when my skills catch up)? Does this plane float good on landing or do you need to fly it all the way into the ground with power on? Please just let me know what you think trying to make up my mind on a 50cc size plane

thanks

The Extra is a fine plane with no bad habits. You should try to keep it light, but as long as it's a reasonable weight (don't put in smoke and 3 pounds of batteries and a G62 and carry your book collection) it will float on landing and perform really excellently. It's a very stable plane that's easy to land.

Many people prefer to start with an Edge, it has the image of being super easy to fly and non-intimidating. There is hardly any difference between the Edge and the Extra, they are designed off that same platform.

Does that answer the question?

I have the 28% extra 300 with a Da 50. It is by far one of the best planes that I own.
you can float it on on the landings and with the Da 50 you have plenty of power to pull out of a hover.
there are times that I fly this plane and wonder why I have anything else.If you get it you will love it.

I have the 300 with a Brison 3.2 and all the carbon goodies (wing/stab tube, tailwheel bracket, spinner, landing gear +light axles, wheel pants) to save weight. I'm at 5k feet MSL so weight saving is a virtue. It flies really well and is a gentle, stable landing plane. It flies very "light" as is and I'm sure it would fly just as well without all the overpriced carbon stuff

I lean toward IMAC style flying VS 3D and It's a super flying airplane.

The 300 would be a great choice for your intentions.

Sweet, thats just what I wanted to hear!! I will probably be trying the DL-50 since I am a teenager with not very much money if you know what I mean. I have heard some really good things about the DL and the WH extra. Thanks
