Hi, I am Alex, im 13, and I live in Lima, Peru. There are some really wack slopes here, and the best one is Park Ghandi. Winds there reach as high as 19 mph. I fly a homemade Zagi and use it as a test platform for aerodynamics experiments. I was once told that if the winglets on the sides extend farther than the flaperons, the winglets will become ineffective at eliminating turbulence. If they are cut to extend to the end of the airfoil but not reach the flaperons, would this decrease turbulence and ing pull, and boost aerobatic performance. Is this true_ please post or send a mail to me at alex.schweig@gmail.com

I have flown my ZAGIs with and without tip plates. Without tip plates the wingtip vortex is quite strong. The tip plates spread it.
Using tape from a music cassette, it's easy to see what occurs..

Alex, welcome to RCU.

One of the rules is that you should only post a question in one forum. Posting the same question in more than one forum is called spamming the fourms.

As this is a second copy of your post I'm locking this one rather than delete it since Paul has already replied.

Please continue the discussion in the other thread located in Gliders
