Then I have some advice for you.... when the race starts, slow down, try to be smooth and consistent, rather than over driving the car. You'll have a much better raceday that way...

On the throttle servo issue use the grommets that came with the car on the throttle servo and use a good coreless digtal servo with at least 120 ounces of torque. Check to make sure the spring on the throttle linkage is not fully collapising when you give full brakes and shorten the ball link if needed to correct. I also would get rid of the overly large return spring too.

Watch the fast guys, try to match their line, but not as fast. Let yourself adapt, then you'll pick up speed without realizing it... You've raced before, so you know that you can't jump right in and hang with the bad asses. Give yourself time so you don't destroy your car trying to get there. I've seen at least two nice guys(with huge competitive egos) do simply that. The best racers I've met are often relatively humble, and race that way. Quick and clean, no running over the other racers. Makes it allot more fun that way.

If you get out of turn 1 in the same position you qualified, you did good.
unless you have a clean shot, don't pass. just tail them. eventually they will make a mistake and you will have an easy pass.
slow is fast.
no need to clear the "big pack" if you're gonna crash every time you try it.

hope this helps. thats what i do, ive been doing quite well with this method.

thats odd. it shouldn't wheelie because it has a center diff. maybe theres something wrong with it. I'm running my 8 at bones level.
