I have a Tracker Three, bought about two years ago. Had problems with an airplane, in the air, and it resulted in a bad landing in late December. Have now robbed parts from that aircraft, and placed into a another aircraft. Thought I was ready to go, but looks not. The second A/C (on channel 48) has a different brand of receiver and couple new servos. Which I did not think too bad of for they worked OK about one year ago.

The old (crashed) airplane had a receiver on channel 30. The newest one is on 48. I cannot get the Tracker to locate the newer receiver, nor STAY upon any other channel but for channel 30. Many of the buttons are ineffective now. There for a while via a certain combination of buttons that I could get the transmitter to switch to another channel, but once the transmitter was turned off it homed in on channel 30 once again. Blink!, the display says that I ought to be on 30 shouldn't I? Just cannot get it to stay away from that channel 30, which was for a now broken receiver.

How do I get to to home in on another channel,

and stay there?

Wm.

The transmitter doesn't seek or locate the receiver. You set the transmitter channel manually in Track 1. Then be sure to "save" the change. Once you do that, it should store the channel number for each model memory slot.

Have done that. Used to have five receivers stored. Now can only access the one which used to be on Chan. 30. Keeps defaulting to that one as mentioned.

Per front panel display, it mentions software version of 1.01

The batteries are original. They do not stay up 100%, so it tends to fly as long as they are up. That meant usually a 10 minute flight, then the Tx and A/C were set asside. (I had to tend to more business things after I flew in the morings). Usually charge the Tx and Rx up beginning night before, check in morning the leave. Would run OK for the period. Did not use every single weekend of teh years(s), but perhaps 20% of them.

I wonder if the Tx batteries are too old, and maybe when it got cold here, something happened to them. Which affected the memory, and then could be why is stuck on Chan 30 then. Sound plausible?

I believe the latest software is 1.37.5. That is what mine shows when prowering up. There have been problems with the low battery loosing part of memory programs. The only way to fix was to sent the unit in to Polk for software upgrade. I would give them a call to confirm.

If you're sure you're doing the right thing in Track 1, then you probably need to send the TX back to Polk.

If you feel adventuresome, and don't mind losing all your model memories (which will almost certainly happen if you send the radio back to Polk anyway), you can try doing a memory clear in the diagnostic menu. I have no idea if that will work or not though. Your best bet is to just send the TX in.
