I've been looking for a Pershing Missile from Estes for many years and still looking so if any one has one or knows of one preferably not built I would be interested in obtaining one.

Thanks
Gwyl

You can find them on Ebay occasionally, or post a wanted ad on TRF (http://www.rocketryforum.com/).

If you want a REALLY impressive Pershing, try this baby... http://www.polecataerospace.com/pershing_ii_5_5.htm

there is also a nice smaller MPR (mid-power) kit from TLP, see more here: http://www.rocketreviews.com/reviews/kits/tlp_pershing_1a.html

That brings back some memories. I was stationed in a Pershing missile unit in Germany in 1976-1978. Unlike loving to see model rockets fly, you never wanted to see one of those do anything but sit there quietly!

It does bring back memories. I was in Schwaebisch Gmuend Germany from 72-74 in a Pesrhing missile unit. And yes, I'm glad they just sat there quietly.

Me too. Alpha Battery. 76-78. Right before I left, the unit went to Inneringen and dropped a warhead when mating the stages.

The Estes maxi Brute Pershing comes up on eBay once in a while and they go for some big bucks. I chose to scratch build my own using the Estes plans.

Hi - I was just surfing the web and ran across your posting in reference to pershing missiles and that you had been with Pershing Missiles from 1976 to 1978. I just wanted to say Hi to a fellow pershing missileman and to let you know I was also in Pershing missiles from 1980 to 1983 and was a 21G20 and ran the countdown launch Computer in the PTS and also repaired the missile system - I ( along with 29 others from the 3/9th FA at Ft. Sill)  went to Orlando, FL to work with the Martin Marieta Corp. to develop and deploy the Pershing II system and was deployed to Heilbronn in 1983 - I would also like to find a good quality model of the Pershing Missile too.
