MAN I HAVE SEEN A LOT OF HAWG FLIGHTS BUT NOTHING COMPARED TO ALI MACHINCHY'S FLIGHTS WITH CHUCK STORRIE'S MIBO A-10! ! !
HAVE NEVER SEEN A COMBAT FLIGHT EXCEPT ON U-TUBE BUT HIS FLIGHTS GOTTS BE VERY TYPICAL.
CHUCK IS GETTING A SECOND MIBO HAWG SO CANNOT WAIT TO SEE 2 OF THEM GOING THROUGH THERE DOWN AND NASTY ROUTINE.
THANKS DEAN/JM FOR THE PICTURE....

Last weekend I put a camera on one of the pylons for a flight. It turned out kinda cool. I only have about five flights on her so far but I tell you what it is a lot of fun to fly. My only big issue so far is transporting it. I have a sixteen foot trailer but its holding it down thats the issue. Its built so light that its hard to know where you dare put the pressure. I made a crutch to carry it on but it put a tiny cack in the fuse where it contacts it so I have redone it with an excessive amount of padding and a bar that goes through the wing tube hole and supports it from there too. If it works good next time I wil post a pic. Has anyone else had issues getting theres to the field?

A few recent photos of the first public outing of my new Mibo. I think I may need to bond those tires onto the rims
Thanks to Neilly for the stunning camera work.

Some interesting ordnance updates from Sam....can you imagine 10 Mavericks ! ! !

facebook
Hi Roger,
Sam Gaglio (friends with Tony Quist) commented on Tony Quist's photo of you.
Sam wrote: "Really depends what varient you built...the A-10C has the newest mods.
The aircraft has 11 stores pylons, providing an external load capacity of 7,260kg. There are three pylons under the fuselage and the loads can be configured to use either the centre-line

The A-10 can carry up to ten Maverick air-to-surface missiles. The Raytheon Maverick AGM-65 missile uses a variety of guidance systems, including imaging infrared guidance and warheads, including a high-penetration, 57kg conical-shaped charge warhead. Range is more than 45km. The A-10 can also carry the Sidewinder air-to-air missile, which is an all-aspect short-range missile with maximum speed over Mach 2.

The A10 is capable of deploying a wide range of ordnance: for example, the LDGP mk82 226kg, 500lb general-purpose bombs, BLU-1 and BLU-27/B Rockeye II cluster bombs and the cluster bomb unit CBU-52/71.

The Northrop Grumman Litening ER (extended range) targeting pod has been successfully integrated on an A-10. Litening ER features a 640×512 pixel thermal imager, CCD TV, laser spot tracker / rangefinder, IR marker and laser designator.

The aircraft is armed with a General Dynamics GAU-8/A Avenger 30mm cannon, mounted in the nose of the aircraft."

Hello Peter
It's a lot of work to obtain this heavy weathered look, but it gives life to the aircraft.
It really worth time spend on it.
