Hello Kirk
Excellent !!!
But on the other side the black part of the scheme would have mask that detail !
So as it is a non-real paint, I made some deviation
And that's not the only one
My next one A10 ( the big one , I hope ) will be more accurate !
Stan

Stan,
how do you mask between the main colors to get the 'soft' edge?

Hello Kirk
I use a technique from car-painting and teached by TaylorMadeDecals.
In car painting accessories shop they sell "tubes" of self adhesive soft foam.
It's very cheap and the effect is perfect.
As soon as I'll be back home I'll take a picture.

I received my fans yesterday from Roger!! They seem like a pretty slick set up. The four bolts that hold the turbine assembly in place secure a metal bracket with a shaft that the fan rides on. Each fan has dual bearings and spins quite easily. I blasted it with air from my compressor and it spun up insanely fast with no vibration.
My only gripe is they are extremely rough finish from being made on a 3d printer. I am a little uncertain what color to paint them.

i personally would worry about painting them and getting them un-balanced.
could you possibly dye them a grey color with rit dye and hot water? done that to nylon quite a bit.
i have a 3D printer in my shop that uses the same ABS that Mibo prints with (as far as i can tell from my LG parts that are printed also)
i can send you a bunch of ABS print stock you can experiment with if you want. the stuff is like fishing line, but ABS and a natural off white / cream color.
