i have a losi lst 2, so i know the engine, i think your flywheel, clutch shoes, springs, and clutch bell should work from your savage. i also have a savage x with a k4.6, i used the hpi aluminium clutch shoes with the gold srings ( springs come with the clutch shoes). then i would run like a 17 or an 18 tooth racing clutch bell from hpi with a steel 47 tooth spur gear from hpi, this should work. good luck

I agree with mmduc, i have 2 savages one Revo 3.3 and a Super Maxx (T Maxx) one Savage with a mod SH Racing R25MT 5P w/2 speed and the new monster gt long pipe that screams, the other with a STS .28 w/3 speed and JP3 pipe, the Revo has a mod STS.28 w/ R&R gears std ratio trans and a short monster gt pipe with crazy power, and my Maxx has a mod Sure Fire.32 R&R trans gears and a Ofna 086 pipe for top end.

The new monster gt long pipe has a sound of its own it screams and its chep!, the JP3 is for low mid and top end, the OFNA 086 is for top end, or HPI Alum pipe will work well. just my 2 cents Aloha from Hawaii.

I installed the Mach.26 on my Savage 25SS, the 427 is basically a Mach.26 with minor reworking, and you don't "need" anything to install the engine. I just used everything off of the stock set up and it works just fine.
If you're replacing the NS25 or the 4.1 then you will see an improvement in power and performance. But don't expect a big change if you're going from the 4.6 to the 427 - you might even see a drop in performance since you would be going down in engine displacement.

i think the 4.27 had more power than the k 4.6, just because its a smaller displacment, doesnt mean its a slower engine.

Thanks for the info everyone. My plan is to make one bad machine, I ordered the newer highspeed gear for my 3 speed also but it doesn't mean top speed is all I want. I'm pretty new to the hobbie and I'm not to sure about the racing thing. I am fortunate to have about 3/4 of an acre I can commit to a track, but really I like to bash and jump my boys and just laugh and try stuff..thanks again for the help and anyone with more insit on this project sure wouldhelp a bunch!!!!!!!!!!
