the thing that really gets me is everyone jumps all over me telling me the battery is dead but no one can tell me why its dead?? what heppened inside that makes it no longer usable?

every one says its going to explode but no one can tell me why its going to explode when it doesnt even puff up?? People just offer movies of batterys being way over charged as proof that its going to explode. if you run enough electrical current though anything conductive that is either flamable or next to somthing flamable its going to catch fire!!

people tell me that i cant charge the battery with the charger i used because the chemistry is differnt but no one seem to be able to tell me why there differnt or why i cant use the charger i did. other than its not a ballance charger (which no one even mentioned).

sorry if it seems like im avoiding peoples advice. I came here to get some advice on the problem i was having not to take orders from people that seem to get all bent out of shap the moment they find out that i did somthing else to solve my problem other than what they sugested (throwing the battery away).

I see 9 different people have given you comment, this thread has been running for almost a week now. Still you refuse to beleve the risks of what you were doing. With all your time spent here, have you even got any flight or hobby time in at all. Perhaps you should put your chopper on the same shelve as your blown up RC truck, and your planes that you can't fly (and then wonder why you always break these toys). If you put the same effort into Lipo battery research as you have here disputing with people, then you would already know all you need to know about using lipo batteries in RC equipment. Why can't you just accept the fact that you have killed some part of another one of your RC toys, do your research correctly before you make another attempt at RC, and then perhaps you will have some success at the hobby. In post number 5 i do beleve i suggested that you buy a lipo balance charger to avoid killing your lipo's.

.

You want more information about LiPo batteries, how they are different from NiCad or NiMh.?????? I would suggest reading the following

http://www.dynamoelectrics.com/LiPo%20Essay.aspx

then there is always Google...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lithium-polymer

This taken directly off of the above web site....

The voltage of a Li-poly cell varies from about 2.7 V (discharged) to about 4.23 V (fully charged), and Li-poly cells have to be protected from overcharge by limiting the applied voltage to no more than 4.235 V per cell used in a series combination. Overcharging a Li-poly battery will likely result in explosion and/or fire. During discharge on load, the load has to be removed as soon as the voltage drops below approximately 3.0 V per cell (used in a series combination), or else the battery will subsequently no longer accept a full charge and may experience problems holding voltage under load

Muddin...are you a baby?

Should we have to spoon feed you everything?

There is plenty of information on the web. People gave you info and told you to do some research but you are defiant all the way. If you didn't want advice, why bother asking. The video was a "what could happen" tool. I'm not saying you will fry it that way but the manufacturers have their reasons.

We don't all profess to be chemists, nor would you probably get those types of answers with the negative attitude you have shown here. If you had started a thread discussing the chemical properties of lipos rather than asking for advice and telling everyone it was BS, you might have gotten that info.

Now, shouldn't you be burning your house down about now?
