And so the build begins. Lots of parts everywhere.....

Start of build:

Motor with clutch installed

Motor mounted up

Front end build:

Front end installed

Rear end done:

Got about a total of 4 hours into the build. Overall the instructions are vague and not user friendly. It is starting to look more like a motorcycle now. I also was missing some parts that I am going to have to go to the hardware store for. Time to go relax now. Thread will be updated as the build progresses.

Here are the rest. Took me about 10 hours of work give or take to get to this point. I still have lots of work to do on it. Everything needs to be wired. Not sure how I like the single sides swingarm..... Wheels are aluminum and real nice. So is the GRP rubber. The rear shock is not the greatest so I am going to replace it with the Traxxas Revo GTR titanium.

Hello, Thanks for the progress pics...

Just for your info you have installed the master link c-clip on your chain backwards. The c should be facing the other way, so the ffron of the c goes in the direction of the chains movement.

Good luck on the build...its an awesome bike...

Alex

Thanks for all the comments. In regards to the chain link it was fixed quite some time ago. I had a tight spot in the chain and in inspecting it noticed I put the clip on backwards when I was half asleep building it the second round. Thanks and good observation though. I am sending out the motor to AB mods this next week and the body to Looped Designs for paint. I am going to finish up the electronics on it and then shoot some more pictures. Check back for updates.

Here is a little update on the bike with pictures. First off right when I got it I dove straight into it. Once all built with the exception of the electronics I tore it back down and sent the motor to Adam @ AB Mods for a stage 2 mod job.

This thing has been laying on the table in pieces for quite some time now so tonight I finally got ambition and started to reassemble it. Man this thing has so many little nuts and screws to it. Many of them are different sizes too. Kind of like putting a puzzle together, if one is wrong you have to tear off two pieces to get it right. Anyways, I put the motor back in it with the optional aluminum motor mounts, I glued the tires on the rims, installed the servos, mounted the pipe and header, got the front brake set up, installed the fuel filter, zeroed the servos and binded the spek receiver to the radio.

What is left now is I need to get a hump pack to mount under the gas tank towards the back, need a different servo horn for the throttle/brake servo, run the wires neatly (have a nice idea for this on where I am going to run them so they are mostly hidden), and get my body back from the painter.

I am not one to leave projects unfinished so this had been bothering me for sometime to get this thing ready to roll. Cant wait for warm weather to get it broke in and run it!

The body looks even more nice in person!!! I fingered it up pretty good though and it is just mocked up on the bike at this time. I need to do some fine trimming on the body to get it to fit just right. None of the body holes are cut out or anything. Very happy with it!!!
