In another one of my dealings I came accross this little guy, and I really have no clue what the plane is but it looks very familar.
I was told it may an Andrews design when I got it, but an RCU member with alot of experience with Andrews has convinced me its not. So What is it???????

Span 44" - Length 32" - Cord 7" - Engine McCoy .19

Thank's to all" Dan Z

It looks like a Bridi RCM Trainer.

Not quite an RCM trainer, I think - the wing doesn't appear to set up on a cabin of sorts.

I dont see any markings or lettering on any of the formers etc.
Also on the ID side it has die cut formers with a very crisp and tiny triangle cuts in each corner of the former-knockout.
Elevator is actually tapered to the middle slightly, and very good ply doublers for wing, tank/nose bays.
Horiz stab is fuse-slotted, and vert stab is flush-butted not stake thru.

If it were an andrews kit I was thinking it might be an S-Ray but I think the span was 50 inches not 44 and the fuse bottom and sides went past the firewall to form a three quarter cowl.

Honestly I was originaly thinking S-Ray but then its not, as you said the lack of sides to the nose/cowl area and the 'almost no cabin' proves its not.
If you look at an X-Ray though it is almost identicle to this one I have, right down to the empinage and it the ( X-Ray ) also lacks the cowl-sides.
But the size is off a bit??????? but then what did the tip plates add to the span??

When I got this it had an old 27mhz Cox/Sanya rcvr in it with sanya and airtronics servos, and the McCoy 19. no fuel tank bt the brass tubes are run thru the top of firewall.

Added pic of interrior

It can't be a Sterling - it looks like the parts actually fit.

Possibly but the cabin on mine has no window/vert framing and rise is almost non-existent, also the Vert and Horz stabs are built-up with solid 1 piece control surfaces. The ailerons do look like an add-on because they don't seem to fit, they appear to be just hung at the T.E. of the wing and way short of the tip and root.

If you enlarge the first pic, the hatch is missing and causes the fwd cabin to look higher then it is, if it was there it would look alot more like a Stik type / shoulder-wing design.

Thank's all' for the efforts
