I appreciate the complement guys, but I am definitely no machinist/metal worker. I do have a work shop where I mainly work with wood. The main tools I used were my band saw, drill press and buffer/grinder. The parts for this car are my first attempt at working with aluminum; I guess I am a quick study. I used 1/2'” alloy for the forks, I made four sets and it cost me less than $20 (wife’s happy about that). I would agree that the Baja body looks great. You might just want to keep the truck side guards under the Baja body. When I drive my MCD as the Baja I keep the truck side guards one and they do a great job at keeping out dirt. Unfortunately, the main chassis on the FS is wider then the MCD chassis, so the side plates on the MCD will not work on the FS. I tried to install my side plates from my Baja1000 on my FS and they didn’t work.
