I had the same problem with the throttle travel reaching about 3/4 full. That was fine for the first tank, but after breakin and adjusting my needles, I Needed more!

I had to move the servo horn one tooth from where it sat naturally. What I mean is find where it can sit perfectly, and the carb is completly closed. Now move it one tooth, so that it actually is holding the throttle partially open.
Trim slightly to brake(don't remember how far, you'll have to experiment) to get the throtle to close
Brake epa I turned down to about 70, as the brakes work so well I didn't need the servo pushing so far and hard.

Good luck guys, it can be done with the stock servo and harware. (Though I was about to give up!) I did however fabricate a new linkage with a clothes hanger that is far better than the stock one.

I agree, and I almost gave in to buying one. However, you can get full throttle with the stock hardware if you play with it enough
