BM what do you reakon about a grub screw tapped into the casing to hold the bearing down and in place .
Tapped holes no good as the composte plastic is too weak i have put metal rings on as mentioned before by Bentley Marshal tapped them and through the composite to the bearing
I am going to do that before i replace the Carrier as there is not much play at all
I think with all the plastic componnants in the FS the Bearings get hot and melt the plastic causing the play

Thanks for that, I am looking for a 27T and a 36T steel gear for my fs 4wd buggie,
problem is cant get them, saw they did a steel gear set for the monster but gave no sizes,
so wont be going that route

hi well did you try x rover .com ive just got my alloy parts in today he does have them for the buggy + mt i ordered them last week and here today im a haapy fellow

Are those gears Alloy or steel? please let us know how the bearings fit into the gear carrier ie;tight fit or easy push fit?

Looks a nice job lot,
did you contact them for the parts?, The carrier is there but out of stock, cant find the gears listed,
Are you fitting them to a buggie or monster???

i am fiting them tomrrow in the gear plate and the diff holders are easy push fit and the gear wheels are steel i thought they would be alloy but im glad they arent steel is the way to go

do fs make a higher gear ratio for the on road rally car ??? mine with the stock gearing with the cy26cc has heeps of grunt but the top speed in to low .......i gess i might have to go to mcd gearing to get what i need

well im done for now im going to try this weekend for a test drive bed the gears in im not sure how long that will take
and all the parts fit perfect no problems apart from the gear wheels i had to file the insides just a touch but that was it and also whilst waiting for the parts i made some of my own side panels from alloy diamond plate heres some photos what do ye think lads
