ok i am about to purchase a good esc/motor for my crawler..its going to be a shafty but need advice on a good motor/esc setup..would a goat system(novak) be good or is there somthing else i should be looking at.??

i would prefer a complete system ready to drop in..also battery suggestions to go with it...thanx guys

I've tried a few brands : Novak - Rooster for Crawler, V16, Novak SuperDuty ESC ... All of them are good.
For Motors, I use Integy 75T, Team Atlas 90T .... very nice

However, if U use a high torque servo, U probably also need something that can transfer a steady power to your servo for functioning (otherwise when your crawler is moving forward/backward, the steering servos would just not move). Those power switch used in RC Helis is good in giving your servos with enough B.E.C. current.

cheers mate thanx for the advice..i like the look of the novak gaot system...if i get, that what else will i need besides the system and battery's..sorry to sound like a noob but i am ...

what pinion gear?? also its going to mount up to a r2 hd tranny from rc4wd..

help pls...ive got a goat system comming and its going onto a r2 heavy duty tranny...

what size pinion will work best for xl moabs ??

where to get a good pinion gear from??

also will i need a adjustable motor plate for the tranny??
