Hello all,

I have a 3/4 built Tamiya Leopard Tank that I need help finishing. I have the tank and a Futaba 4wd attack controller. I can't seem to get the either of the guns to fire. The controller seems to be able to control the tank... ie forward, reverse, rotate, rotate the turrent and move the gun up and down... but when you try to fire it just want to jerk forward. Maybe I'm doing it wrong? The controller fails to operate any of the other tank commands. fire either the main gun or machine gun... or remote start or work the lights. Please HELP. Really want to finish this...

Thanks,

Welcome azrael_nite

Repost your question on the main RC TANKS forum and you'll find help there, this site is more for real war info. when you see RC TANKS at the top left of your screen just scroll down and you see the other posts.

Welcome to the hobby, we're glad to have you amonst us. FYI, You'd get more comments on your problem if you post it as a topic in the RC Tanks forum instead of the War Room forum.

Irregardless, please tell us what kind of Leopard you have. Tamiya made two, a Leopard 1A4 (in the 1980's) and the Leopard 2A6 (current production). The electronics on these models are quite different.

As a general rule, the quality of advice received is directly proportionate to the quality of information given. Take some pics of the wiring at your receiver connection, along with a pic of the overall tank (opened up) and post them with your question. As to the problem, it sounds like a common problem, but give us more info, and I'm sure you'll get lots of good advice.

If you have the newest Leo, here is the quick fix solution, program the DMD units the easy way:

Put the tank on the floor in a clear area.

Take the 2 controllers and receiver completely out of the tank.

Layout the antenna straight.

Make sure the transmitter and receiver have a clear sight of each other.

Turn on the Attack Radio with fresh batteries.

Turn on the DMD units with a full charge battery.

Try all the functions, do not let the tank run away!!!

If that does not work:

Post your question here:
http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/forumid_369/tt.htm

I or others can take you through the setup steps.

Also revisit the kit instructions and the rc manual so you are familiar with the various steps.

And answer the previous posted questions.
