Theres just the imperial war museum there. It has a Jagdpanther, Churchill, T-34/85, Sherman , V-2 rocket and some other rare goodies there too.

3 hours south is Bovington but this time of year they arent likey to be running anything so the chances of seeing the Tiger 1 prowling about are slim

I agree with Leo2a6, Imperial war museum is good, but Bovington is best. They are stocked up with rare German tanks. Nice chance to take a leisurely train ride through the English countryside. Nice daytrip from London.

Bovington would be great if you have the time. If not the Imperial War Museum will is worth seeing. The attached photos are from the IWM in London.

(the little kid is now close to 6 feet tall, and deadly with a Sherman or a Pershing!)

Hello,
I agree with the others , if you are a tank enthusiast , Bovington is the place to go. Even my wife loved it , how many wives can drive a Leopard tank , and she isn't even in the army, LOL. The Museum has numerous tanks and other AFV's on display, interactive displays, as well as uniforms, weapons etc. During the summer they have weekends when they drive the refurbished tanks about , complete with re-enactors in authentic uniforms . The Tank Museum also has a nice gift shop , and a small restaurant. The staff there is very friendly. Just google " The Tank Museum " on your PC. The website is very informative, telling the about the various activities there, and new exibits and good info on anything about Tanks. Also in the area are very nice accomodations , at reasonable prices. I hope this helps
Frank
