Hello all! NEW to this site, but been in RC for a triple decade!

I just recieved my K8T Pro kit. All I can say is THIS is a REAL PRO kit! UNLIKE others on the market, it includes Glass brake discs, brake pad SPRINGS,  the main diff gear is ABOVE the chassis, (AS IN the gear is NOT flush! THIS will keep from picking up those pesky rocks that turn your clutch bell teeth over), 2 pc center diff mount, & MUCH MORE! IN my opinion, THIS is a true PRO kit! I wished the "other" manufacturers would realize this! BUT, then again, I'm glad it's ONLY Team Caster that DOES! Especially, since I have sponsorship here!

I cant say anything on mine YET, as I have yet to get it dirty. BUT WILL this next Saturday!

I'll post pix & handling characteristice as soon as I get home. The front & rear body mounts are in the shock towers, BUT no one ever uses the extremes for the top of the shocks. Just put the body mounts where you'd never put your shocks! SIMPLE fix! I never lay mine down or stand them up straight! BAD HANDLING!!! & our local track is NOT smooth yet! It's OFFROAD, the track changes, get used to it!

Now, you all can get the PRO kit! Exceptionally nice kit! Comes in a LARGE box, with wheels, tires, & foams. Has tons of PRO PARTS that even Mugen does NOT offer! & I've had MANY Mugen kits! As far as the similarities, IF you took ALL the best parts from all the better truggies, you would have THIS Team Caster K8T Pro Kit!

Nuff said?

Wow. Your enthusiasm is awesome. I can't wait to see pics and race results. Coming from a Mugen, those are some pretty bold statements to make.

After today, here is what I found out! Bumpy, slick loose track! FINALLY got to hit the track today! Absolutely awesome truggy! I went almost to the letter on the setup, EXCEPT I went 10K fr., 7K C., & 3K rear. 3 K IS TOO FREAKIN much! 1000 wt REAR diff oil is PERFECT! LOL! 45wt REAR shock oil & 35 wt FRONT has massive steering & nice drift! PERFECT jumping ability: nice & LEVEL without touching the throttle or brakes! Oh, droop was set EVEN by the length of the longest shock! The Werks B5 & OS 2060 pipe is great also! So IF you have a Mugen & it wont TURN like you want it to, by the Caster K8T PRO! Sooooooo much steering I went from 100% on my 6T to 78% on my K8T! LOVE it & MY MBX6T is for SALE!

Greg Johnson.

As I said above, The Team Caster K8T 2010 edition is in NO WAY A MBX6T knock-off or copy! THIS is a true to itself its OWN TRUGGY!

Hello. Where is the best place to order the Caster truggy? Mail order shops or from the distributor? Let me know, thanks. Need a website address if possible.

IF nothing else, go here:

So we need to ramp up inventory some more. We have been trying to stay small and slowly get into the market, but I have no issues if you want to push the line.....

Let me know how you like the B6. I may get one too. Just so you know Holeshot can get those motors for you.

I also ran the truggy this past saturday. Did not qualify too well but still made the A as it was a club race and wanted to save my super softs for the main so I ran a old set of JCons. Ended up last after the first couple turns but worked my way past the field with the K8T and up into second place and without about 5 minutes left I was 2 turns behind the leader when he broke and at the same time my battery came unplugged and my truck took off! Needless to say I did not finish cause of that. LOL! Truck was DIALED in the main! My friend took it for a spin earlier and was putting faster laps times with my K8T then with his Kyosho ST-RR, said he had the same amount of on power steering but the Caster had way more off power and no need for using the brake to get the back around just a little bit like he does. This coming from a guy who podiums and/or wins most of the local races here he attends.

Chris:

I got to see the NEW B6 in person on an Xray 2010. (The only thing was the Werks team driver had put a B5 head on it while he was testing it.),  & I noticed a couple things on it that were NOT on my B5. So I asked & yes, it was the B6! On buggy, it is SUPPOSED to "THE ENGINE", but was also told NOT the 1 for a truggy. Due to the slight loss of low end torque.

I know you can change clutches, springs, etc, etc & get a bit more outta ANY engine. BUT I prefer my "RACE" clutch setup. This way IF anything goes "wrong", I'll know it immediately & fix it. I know HOW it is going to act & react.

I'll also PM you on this engine.

Greg Johnson.

LRP Spec 3 Truggy (originally bought for a different truggy, but since I'm selling the other truck this needed a home)
Hitec 5955 Steering, Spektrum Z650 or 690, whatever it is, on throttle (had it laying around too, I'll probably pick up a faster one after I sell the first truggy)
Thunder Tiger tuned exhaust, had read a bunch of info on it and a lot seem to like it
Dynamite Throttle/Brake Linkage
7K/10K/3K on fluids
40wt Silicone in shocks
Wheels and tires are stockers, figured they are fine for break in and a little playin around afterward. PL Velocity's I already have (black), will mate them to Bow Ties or Crime Fighters.
Dyed the Stock white plastics (Wing and Wheels) black

Upgrades Planned

Caster Big Bores when they get stateside
Captured type Pivot Balls (steering, turnbuckles)
Caster 150cc fuel tank

The 3K weight in the rear WILL BE TOO MUCH!

Go down to 1000 weight.

Been there, done that!

LOL!!!

I am not a dealer of Caster products but I do race them. I have both the K8T Truggy and the EX1.5R Buggy, there might even be a ZX1.5R Buggy in my stable soon. I try to carry all the parts for them if you ever have any problems getting up with anyone of the distributers, but Mike should be the first source for kits and parts. You will be very impressed and pleased with the Caster Truggy or any other Caster vehicle you purchase. I would be happy to let you drive any of my Caster vehicles if you are in my neck of the woods. I race in NC and SC mostly. If you have no response from Mike at Caster Racing, let one of us know and we can help you out. Mike gets busy often, but will return phone calls.

If you need any more help, you know how to find us.

James Carter
