Here is a video of the Megatech Airship Blimp combo. Here you can see how it really flies. Not those crappy megatech videos from their website.

It takes (4) 25cents coins, (2) 10cents coins and (2) 1cent coin to mantain the airship weight stable. I'm working on using a 9volt battery with a mini voltage regulator to have 9volt for a mini wireless camera and with the voltage regulator 3volts for the airship this is removing the 3v battery currently used for the airship alone.

Cool!

Getting a small low drop out (LDO) voltage regulator shouldn't be a problem.

How long does the battery last?
How long does the Helium last?

So far the 2 batteries it came with the 3v and 9volt both were discharged, but the 3volts is still working. for the helium i still don't know I have this airship for 3 days, I still need more days to tell you if is holding good. I do susggest to inflate this at party city or any store that have helium, I bought the $29.99 helium tank and both aircrafts emptied the tank.

What runs on the 3V and on the 9V?

Looking over the manual, I assume the 3V is a lithium cell and the 9V a typical 9V square battery?

You'll have to figure out how much current is drawn by the 3V, in order to figure out what kind of voltage regulator you'll need.

The typical 9V may not be able to supply enough current to the motors (something to check).
The 9V probably won't have the same capacity as the 3V, so you're run time will probably be lower as well.

(Just some things to think about)...

This is the regulator that I have http://rangevideo.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=7_20&products_id=29 Depending on the current I will have to see if I need 1 or 2 regulators , 1 regulator gives me 1000mAh output. rechargables AAA's have 900mAh. good for a few minutes of flight I guess.

That should do it. I wouldn't think those small motors would draw a total of 1A
