ORIGINAL: Billybuck I am assembling the pulse 60 now using the electric option. The 60 Brushless motor does not extend out far enough to use the backplate and spinner supplied with the kit so I currently have the prop set up with the shaft extension and spinner supplied with the motor. Would like to know if anyone else ran into this and was able to adapt the kit parts somehow. Thanks The motor won't extend far enough on it's own but you can use the supplied yellow spinner. Here's how... use the shaft adaptor that came with the motor on the motor shaft, then put on the backplate of the yellow spinner on the shaft adaptor, then the prop, then use the metal spinner with the motor as the prop nut, then screw the yellow spinner to the yellow spinner back plate. Make sure the prop doesn't touch the sides of the spinner cone or that'll cause your prop to fail. I needed to widen the yellow spinner and prop shaft hole to the width of the shaft adaptor to get them on. I used a tapered reamer (http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=3869&doy=29m6&C=SO&U=strat15) to do this - work from the FRONT of the spinner backplate / prop face, make a couple of turns and try it on the shaft extension. You want the holes to be as tight as possible so the prop and spinner rotate centrally and are balanced, be patient makingf the hole! Also make sure you add the correct hub adaptor to the prop that fits the shaft extension, if your using a APC prop these hub adaptors should of come with your prop. On the prop, I had to remove a lot of the moulding flac from the back of the hub as when I stood above the model and rotated the prop by hand one blade rotated further forward than another so wasn't flush to the shaft adaptor and was unbalanced. Removing the flac with a hobby knife made the prop rotate evenly. Hope that helps...
