I'm going to give them a try then. I know it's the lighter way to go versus easy connectors. I'll let you know.

Don't know about the PA's but I have used Thunderpower batteries for years and just switched to EVO's last season and love them. I'm going to use Evo 2100 3C in my new PA 260.

BTW, I have'nt done anything to my PA 260 lately becouse I've had to break in and tune 2 new nitro trucks. I am ready to get back on it now and more then ready to fly it. All I have to do is hook up the control linkages to the elevator and ailerons, balance it and set the radio up and I'm finished. Bet I have the longest build out of any of us at this point! lol

I have a PA 2200mah V2 pack and it works great, I also have a bunch of TP's I feel more confident pushing the PA pack harder. Its higher C rating and can charge at 2C.

I finally finished my 260, about time I know. I'm waiting for my spinner still but I balanced it W/O for now. Probably will maiden it this evening. Came in at 2 pounds 1.5 ounces. Sound ok?

5 flights in on my PA 260 today. Very nice improvement over the GP Reactor I've been playing with. Kinda like nite and day really. I like it... a lot!
My setup;
CC 45 amp phoenix... I got the computer interface program and cord. < Now thats a good product!
Hacker 500 watt 30-12L
2 2100 mah 20c GP lipos and one 2500 FP 25c..... 10+ minutes on the GP's, barely warm and 13+ on the Flight Power, not evan warm. All flights landed before cutoff.
Ht65 all around with the rudder on push pull on the rear cut out. One HT65 is not enough servo on rudder so I'll be putting a second one in the tail to get rid of the blow back. (Shows up in high speed slow roll.) Batteries cover the servo pull pull mount when adjusted for neutral inverted.
12x7 Xoar prop...Very quick pull out from hover but I need to get a 13" prop on to try also. It's not working very hard now.
All up weight with FP 2500 lipo... 35 oz.
It slows to an absolute crawl and is very very stable and secure on the wing. Never really felt the wing stall so this plane will live it's life real close to the ground.

what is an HT65? I thought it was a typo but you wrote it more than once; i did some searching and i can't find any info about any such servos.

If you mean HS-65, they are not too weak, but the way your push pull is set up i bet you had to reduce atv (end points) considerably and thus are dividing your torque.

Also, wouldn't you feel blowback a LOT more on KE than on a slow roll??? You hardly use any rudder in a slow roll; just barely enough to stop the plane from loosing altitude when it's on it's sides which would require a LOT less strength than doing a KE loop for instance... (I use 373 mg's with pa cf arms and i never felt blowback on mine.

The more I fly the 260 the more I like it. It really wants to 3D like no other wood full fuse electric plane I've had. It's a winner.

Put another hour on my PA Extra 260 this morning, getting better every flight! Still working on CG getting it right. I am quite a bit behind the recommended range and still have to input a tiny bit of down elevator when inverted. BUT the wing rock is going away.
I dont know the measurement at the moment since I am adjusting at the field per flight results, but enjoying the flying.!!!

THAT is the way it should be.

That's also why i cringe when people ask me where my cg is at, what are my throws (especially when they ask for ATV percentages... sigh), expo etc... FEEL IT, ENJOY IT, LIVE IT people! Fun is not measured on a C.G. machine!!!

I don't understand why someone would ask for your radio settings...lol thats funny to me. Must be newbies.

My harriers got better after taking a little throw out of my elevator. Still has a ton of throw but it's much better than it was with a little less. It's easier to harrier I guess now but like I said it still has plenty.

nobody knows yourself better than you right? I mean even noobs (and me as a noob, we are ALL noobs at some point, I still am!); there are recommendations in the manual; what do you suppose they are there for? They are guidelines and starting points, usually, the minimum are rates that are easy enough to manage without being too little to actually fly. Noobs should instantly know to start from there and adjust to their comfort level in increments. Cheating at this test is completely pointless! Of course, with enough experience, noobs can then opt to hit the high rates right off the bat if they feel like it and then go from there. That's what this noob right here likes to do. (at least on this type of plane)

I hear you aflipz but radio settings from one brand to another might not match perfectly along with the persons linkages. Your radio settings I could match but if the geometry of the plane is different it's not the same. You know what I mean. I do understand what you're saying though and they should start at the point the manual says. I set my throws myself without the manual but I of course will start in between the CG points that they say to do. I've got a few years under my belt now though.

Mine tends to want to turn left during upright harriers on its own. I'm wondering if it might need more right thrust? Anyone experience this and what are your thoughts?
Thanks.

All my planes, gas or electric do this... I guess I need to learn to add in a mix hehehehe. Right now I just fly it with the rudder. Mixes are just something I have not gotten into programming.

I've had a gasser do this once but I found the reason for it and corrected it and now it's fine. I might just have to deal with it.

You fix it with thrust angle?? If so did you have to mix in rudder for higher speed flight?

No, actually it was a dumb mistake on my end. I used 2 elevator servos of course and one side had just a hair more throw on high rates than the other.

I see, that would do it! LoL.

Every one of my birds yaws in harrier flight, I guess I will continue to just fly a bit of rudder hehehe..

The trim setting for, when pushing over from upright to harrier inverted is what I look for. If I can get it to remaing inverted without wanting to snap I'm happy. The plane should not pitch left right up or down with power pulses if engine thrust is correct. A little left turning inverted might be unavoidable if those two are correct.
So far mine is flying real nice. Slight tendency to drop the nose high alpha KE but I'm sure it's me not getting on the rudder soon enough. Also have to work on the expo's a bit to get real straight HA rollers yet but I'm having fun trying. Sure is a nice plane to kick down the rates and do some grooving with.
