Just started putting this Yak together and I'm very happy with it. It came well packed, excellent hardware included and the covering is probably the best I've seen in profile ARF. Can't wait until spring to maiden it. Any tips or just your thoughts would be cool.

Equipment- OS 1.20 with Vess 17-6 prop, Hitec digitals, 2000mah battery ran off of my 9C/Spectrum radio.

I had a simaliar problem with a Saito. The 4 strokes seem to shake I think, vibration anyway over the 2 strokes. I love the torque from a 4 stroke no doubt but I've used 2 strokes on the last couple of profiles I've put together and I'm really liking them. The OS 1.20 supposed to be a bad little motor, we'll find out.

The Yak is all framed up and hinged. Both landing gear and tail wheel are mounted. Basically ready to seal the hinges and add electronics. I'll mount the motor last so I can figure the CG. I hinged the ailerons a little tight. I'm still getting about 40 degrees throw so should be good there. Any thoughts on this?

Are you using the OS 120AX or the 120FS? I have the 120AX in mine with an APC 17X4W and it's outstanding. Where did you get the Vess 17X4? I've only seen the 17X6 from Eastrc hobby shop. The Vess prop will be perfect on the AX. The APC makes the spool up suffer somewhat.

The Vess is a 17-6, I made a mistake typing. The motor is the 1.20AX. Should be a great combo from what I've heard.

All servos are installed and all hinges are sealed. I'm using 5645's on all surfaces. Have'nt been rushing putting it together becouse I live in Indiana and won't be able to fly outdoors for a couple of months still due to weather.

I have the same combination and mine flys like a dream. Somewhat overpowered but you have a throttle.

I will think of you up in Indiana as it is shorts and T shirt weather down on the border.

Mounted the OS 1.20 today. I had to shave the mounting area a little to allow it to fit. I took too much off the lower rail so I've now glued in a thin piece to add strenght. Motor is mounted far back in the rails and battery in front of the tube. Thats what Mike said he did so I went for it. I really hope I don't have balance issues. Any thoughts anybody? Servos are Hitec 5645's all the way around and the battery is a 6 Volt 2000 mah. Also I mounted the rudder control horn to line up with the hinge line and now it hits the fuse when the rudder is deflected that direction before I get the throw I'd like to have. I shaved off the bottom two horn holes and now I'm going to get more.

Scott, I think you will be fine. It is not uncommon to shave off the bottom holes of a standard control horn to get more clearance.

I am really interested in getting one of these but the OMP website doesn't have the specs on it. Am I missing something or looking in the wrong place?? How long is it? Wing span? Weight? Etc.
