So what's better for Club 40, and 424 on the TT40 pro, the older strait needle, or the newer angled needle carb. Yes I understand the angled needle is to keep fingers out of the prop, but I want to know about power/ performance. OR does it matter? So NEW or OLD??

The new engines are marginally better.

In 424 with a 9/6apc I would call the new TT40s (last 4 or 5 years) about a 1000 rpm better.
