Hi Mike and good morning,
I have a Skyshark Christen Eagle with one of your Hitec 8 channel rcvrs in it.
My question is that can I route the rcvr antenna inside the fuse in a z type configuration, in other words, zigzag my antenna with about 2 inches in between each zig as it works from front to back of the fuse? The reason Im doing this is I did not want to cut any holes in the fuse to make the exit hole for the wire. Basically this shortened my length that I had to have the wire run, the fuse is pretty wide ( Im guessing 10 inches wide maybe?) and as I said the way Ive got it zig-zagged with appx 2 inches between each run. I did do a range check yesterday and got over a 100 feet with the tx antenna collapsed, but did not get to maiden the plane due to rain, dang it!!
Do you see any problems with what Ive done, or is this a no-no?
Thanks so much!
John

As long as you get a good range check with it then it should be fine.

Mike.

Just an update: Ive now had about 10 flights on my 'Z'd rcvr antenna and no problems whatsoever.
Thanks again Mike. Sure beats cutting a hole in the bottom of the plane with a antenna wire sticking out!
