so like i said, not a crash... i was defueling my half full tank at the end of the day (I thought i was defueling). turned out i switched the pump the wrong direction so i pumped it full. i only figured that out when fuel actually squirted out of the muffler. oops. well, then stupid me hit it with the starter after emptying the tank. not good. it was fully hydrolocked. didn't even think about that possibility. good thing there was fuel on the spinner so it just slipped. well then took the glo plug out and hit it again only to take a full on shower in fuel. didn't dawn on me that the muffler was completely full of fuel so it continued to fill the engine with fuel. finally figured out what was going on and turned the plane over and dumped the fuel out of the muffler. then it started fine. in the end, i sure am glad I didn't damage the rod or piston.

just something to think about.

I've done the same thing but I got it in the eyes. Only did that trick once, I'm a quick learner.
