Yea, I'm going to order one from Driesbabe in the next day or so. I think I need to get his phone number.

Ok Guys,
Sorry for not getting back as soon as I have should. I do need to sleep every now and then especially after the party yesterday evening, celebrating the RCGF! Then another Party this morning, as my Daughter turned 3.

OK OK, it went very well. The 100cc started right up and ran a bit rich, range tested the plane and all was good. Then to the skies.
I have flown the YAK before, so that was a non-event. She performed flawlessly, but not a real powerhouse, witch amazed me because of the good prop Nr's I was getting. So I landed and to my amazement the entire plane was full of Oily goo. Then I saw it... I took the wrong fuel can with me. (I have some converted Glow engines that run on 12% oil, and that is what I took)
I begged my friend Richard for some of his fuel (the correct mixture at 32/1) and there we go, we where back at 6800 RPM.

Now, this thin shot of the runway going straight up and not stopping. It is an awesome motor, the Throttle response is right there, it will Idle so smooth and will run up to full power in a blink of an eye. There is one problem though. The prop is too small. It was ripping in straight and level flight at full power, I have never had that.

When I landed after 9 minutes (timer set, as I do not know how much fuel it would use) the tank was still 3/4 full. We put the plane on a fish scale and it reads 50 lbs at full throttle, not bad for a new motor at 6800 foot ASL.
I took her up again and let my friend Mike fly her and immediately sold a Yak and a 100cc engine.
The Yak will hover a half stick and pull out is very strong, with one or two snaps on the upline.

There is not a leak, no overheating no bad anything about this RCGF, Vibrations are non-existent, and the power is awesome (If you remember the right fuel) It is still running a bit rich, but I will fix that on the next time out
I am convinced that these motors will be the next DL's of the Modeling world.
Regards

Sorry, left my camera at home for the Birthday.
Pictures to follow.

Oh and Steve, I don't mind yours being bigger...LOL
As for YAK, make your plane fit the Engine, you will not regret it.

Told ya you'd like it
You've discovered the same results as what I found (apart from the wrong fuel issue). It will get even stronger over the next gallon or two (which will take quite a few flights because of how they just sip the fuel).

Keep us (me) posted on your results

What prop are you running? I've been using a wood 27/10 (from the same company that makes Hawke / JXF)

Steve,
The prop is a 28X8 Menz S, I will try a 28X10 once I get one. that's not so easy in Africa.

Hi Guys,
Do you know if they will be producing any singles larger than the 65? I really wanted the 100 but it just won't fit

There is a 75 under development - it is in the final testing stages. It will probably be a couple of months away before any of us have stocks of them.

Since no one seems to know or want to tell how much this will fetch in USD - how much in Aussie dollars?

Driesbabe,

You're right. They were getting caught in my spam folder. I'll try to figure out the time difference and give you a call at a decent hour. I'm guessing about 10 hours to the U.S west coast. Thanks.
