Hahaha and I felt bad about not being able to make it due to wifey reasons...sweet!

Is anything on for Sunday if the outdoor area clears up? I want to give Richa shot at the Magic wheel, if not next Friday should be better for me.

Wifey saw the c.c. bill after we just paid it off...uh oh.

Well the FOC is in my future, HT has it for $11 so I can get rid of the jump jump jump.

So here is waht I have been up to..

Cold weather is killer for tuning. I was dumb enough Thursday to troll around Trumbull/Monroe for bashing in really sub zero windchill sunny weather.(there was a giant dirt area at the corner of basically rt.25 and rt.111...looked like they were thinking of making a mall or something, there was a long hill to the top with 3 bouldrs...I don't know maybe Jombo/X will chime in) Had the Tmaxx ballz on for tuning but it was a little too bumpy up there to get any kind of speed. Brought it over to Indian ledge all the way in the back by the upper ball field and lost the tune in the parking lot. So bad the oneway bearing was coated in fuel after going back to the base tune 3 times so it started to slip like mad. I had to restart it so many times I lost glow on two igniters. By that point I had frostbite and said f*ck it!

So I drove home, saw some RPM goodies in the mail and a ported/polished pro .15 manifold that came in so I spent the night rebuilding the truck with the new alluminum shocks/arms/manifold. It looks/sounds/drives like a different truck. When it gets in the 40's+ I will invest in some warmer plugs as I think they are easier to tune and the $11 forward only clutch will be in as well. That way I can use the good FM/PCM Futaba and put the Traxxas radio in the Magic Wheel where it will be much better suited. The damn magic wheel fires up/tunes/runs 100 times better then the Tmaxx sometimes! I really got to know every screw on this truck so at the very least I can fix just about anything on it at this point. As far as the lurching, I would rather get this gear, lose some rotating mass, be faster off the line and have a more trouble free truck then to have reverse. 90% of the time the truck flips and doesn't need reverse anyway to get out of trouble.

I was also impressed by your fleet Jombo. I can't keep thinking how mean that ThunderTiger sounded! The LST must have had the tune of its life it was running so consistent! Do you dial in a smidge of braking with those nitros so the braking is built into your throttle a bit for the turns?

Anyone have a receiver battery charger for nimh ora flat/hump pack battery for a receiver? I use 4 2600 m.a. cells but since it is only 4 AA cells they burn out quick.

I will probably stop by HT this week as I am waiting on a special order of headgaskets for a nice annodized head I found for cheap. I may not need the AM crystals btw " X " if I cahnge over my radio but thanks anyway.
Jombo I'll keep you posted about the springs, i have to see how these new springs ride when the snow clears up a bit.

yea i know where your talking about, i see alot of trucks parked there at the bottom of the hill, the best place to bash when it gets warmer is pepper st off rt 25 there is a huge construction site, i usually go once a week to run the trucks, it makes the place you went to look like a basket ball court. when it gets too cold under 30 dont bother running them you will always chase the tune . i will bring the springs next time we meet but for the track we race at i would keep the soft springs and get thicker fluid like in the 40 wt oil.

See I think the dampening is fine, I have 40wt in them right now but I haven't run them to see it yet. I have alot of wiggle room on the adjustment still so let me try that all first before I toss the springs....but thanks again.

Yeah, I think I'll wait till Monday or Tuesday to fire it up again...we just adopted a beagle/chocolate lab mix so my funds/attention have been diverted elsewhere for the moment lol.

Got a bunch of stuff for my mini, and plan on getting the Savage ready for Friday. Hopefully it starts, I didn't use after run oil Probably have no oil in the shocks also haven't checked them ever, and it was given to me so who knows.

Handling sucks, but I miss running nitro, I usually park it for the winter.

Also ordering the Thunder Tiger ST-1 this weekend, and am saving up for a LST-2, or possibly a buggy. It's all jombo's fault
