These look like a nice engine but couldn't find anything bigger than an F-91S 4 stroke. I found a 120 2 stroke in the Pro Series but not in a 4 stroke. Anyone running these 4 strokes? What is your opinion of these engines?

I'm running the F-91s on my Ace Staudacher S-300 ARF. It's been wonderful as far as breaking in and tuning it. It fired up easily right out of the box and has gobs of power.

I thought I was having engine trouble with it at one point, and I even posted a thread here about having trouble starting the engine. It turned out to be due to the spinner backplate being stripped out.

Based on my experiences thus far with my F-91s, I wouldn't hesitate to buy the F-75s or the F-54s when the need and opportunity arises.

I have the F-75s. Good power, 10,000 with a 13-6 APC on 15%, idles well, 2100. Machining quality is superb. Exhaust threads same as the OS. Great engine for the price.

The TT75 FS is a very cool lookin engine but my OS 56a FS is doing over 10,000 with APC 13x6 on just 10% nitro!

You can find good pricing and availability at:

www.thundertiger4u.com

www.infinitehobbies.com

Both resellers ship orders for free, Infinite Hobbies will ship orders $100 or higher for free while thundertiger4u.com will ship orders $150 or higher for free.

Tower Hobbies carries the F-54s for $199.99, which isn't much of a bargain. If you're a Super Saver Club member, however, you can use coupon code 011YG to get $30 off any order of $199 or more and free shipping. A Thunder Tiger F-54s delivered to your front door for $169.99 including shipping isn't too bad.

Thundertiger4u.com has the F-75s for $169.99 delivered while Infinite Hobbies sells it for $174.99. Infinite Hobbies has the best price on F-91s engines, however, with a delivered price of $184.99.

I've purchase from all of these dealers on previous occassions, and have been happy on all occassions.

Any local hobby store that carries Thunder Tiger and/or Ace Hobby products can order these engines for you:

TTR9800 - F-54s
TTR9801 - F-91s
TTR9802 - F-75s

Just give your lhs the part number and they should be able to order right up for you.

Thanks for the info guys. As far as engines go, it's kinda like planes as well. I've had the Laser 200, all flavors of the Extra's, YAK 54, etc. I had all kinds of OS engines, Saito, ST, etc. I really like the OS 120AX. I'm just looking for something different in the Thunder Tiger engines. New toys are always good .

Most of the sites I buy from don't carry this engine such as Chief Aircraft, Tower, Horizon, etc. Where is a good reputable site to get the F-75s ? I've noticed that the prices differ a lot depending on where you look.

Thundertiger4U is, I believe, the US distributor's site. When I bought my two 75's shipping was very quick and I had them in my hand in two days. (They're not far from where I live) I, too, like RadicalRC, I've bought batteries from them in the past. They don't list the 75, but do show the 54 and 91, at excellent prices. I suppose a call could clear that up.
