Hi, my Extra 28% red and white one is nearlly ready to go. I have set the c of g to 3" back of the wingtips. Is this right for the first flight? Anyone got the correct movment for high and low rates? Thanks Paul

Hi, i have moved the c of g back to 3 1/2" i have looked about seems thats about right. Can anyone tell me the high low rates in metric ie 25mm up elevator ect.

Come on lads want this plane sorted for the weekend! Anyone please

Degrees are universal, the same there as they are here!

Set elevators to about 12 degrees and ailerons to 16 degrees on low rates.

Im looking to get the 28% extra, i have only have 1 year of flying under my belt of flying a traner. Is the Extra to much for me?

Impossible for me to say without more information. The Extra is easy to fly but it's not a trainer.

Most hardware stores, anywhere, sell a tool that's best described as a degree finder. Just about all stationary stores, drafting supplies, and art supply stores sell protractors. Generally quite cheap. Pretty easy to adapt a simple tool for a simple job. Worst case one could cut a 12 degree angle in a piece of cardbord using the protractor for a defelction template. Inches or millimeters of deflection is not even close to as accurate as degrees. The planes can be quite sensitve and easy to over control when usng too much surface deflection.
