Has anyone tried these for an HBK2.
I'm trying to figure a way out of destoying my woodies while I'm learning to fly. I've gone thru 7 sets of blades nicking the pavement.
I know they are not for 3dD, but I just want someone's oppinion on them.

I found them hard to balance.

i ordered some and they are heavier than the wood ones. have they saved me blades, yes. but to be honest takes more to get the heli off the ground. if i didnt wreck em so much i would sy the woodies are better. BUT the xtreme ones are more durable.

I just ordered some also. I will report back when I fly. I have lost about 3 sets of blades to minor blade scrapes, and was hoping these would solve that problem. Would rather replace a $1 feathering shaft than a $10 set of blades.

You will need to balance the Xtreme blades. Mine were out a fair amount. Once balance they would spin up real nice and smooth. Balance them out. They are very responsive on my heli. I have to be careful or I end up chasing the bird.

The slots that are on the under side of the Xtreme blades is where I placed my weights( double sided sticky silicon tape). I peeled the plastic covering the holes and when finished I folded it back down again.

the extreme blades, without balancing they are good enough for hovering.
You may wanna get fiber glass ones. They don't break as easy as woodies but they got awesome flight performance. I have woodies, FG and plastic and I like the FG the most in performance, plastic most in durability.

Just keep checking for stress lines in the plastic on the Xtreme blades...
This from another forum...3900KV motor and both blades sheared off 60% throttle in a hover.
Seems to be some uncertainy about wether the spacers go top or bottom, personally I've gone top and no sign of any stress.

lol, ouch that's why I went 3100kv not 3900.. my 3800 on belt-cp already eats up enough parts at each blade slap. if my HBK2 had 3900 instead of 3100, I may have no chance to be able to fly the heli again after one crash.

I'd say that was due to faulty blade manufacturing not because of motor/head speeds. I too have the spacers on top and haven't seen any problems. But I'd sure as smeg would hate to have plastic blades flying apart like those.... zzzzzzzzzunk!!! no worries... its only arterial bleeding.
