Been working with this material the past few weeks as a trial run. So far so good, with a few comments. It went on a Sr Falcon kit I have been dragging around for years (goofy kit - another story!). Fabric (koverall) open surfaces using nitrate initially and concluding with s3 clear.

The good:

water based! thins and cleans with it.

Smell almost non-existant.

Can use foam brush

levels out well, methinks in part due to the water base as the "solvent" is water and evaporates slower.

initial cure/dry in about 20 minutes

Spray qualities unkown so far. that's next.

can be recoated up to 8 hrs after application w/o having to break the glaze to recoat.

THe epoxy primer is water based as well and covers/fills well.

Can be stored at room temperature indefinately after the cross linker is applied. I had first thought it (cross linker) was a catalyst and would cure after being mixed.

After thinning can be frozen with no ill effects. Good up here in minnesota!

Masking is no big deal. Pulled tape off both wet and dry and did not peel up.

The bad:

Reds are a bit transluscent and require several coats to cover well. This stems from de-leading the red pigment, according to s3's web site. If this is all I can find wrong, I will live with it....

Have not tried other colors yet.

That is all
