Will all the complaining stop now, its wider! lol. Im glad you posted those new pics. At first i didnt like the body much, but those pics i like alot. Cant wait to see the SS version. Looks like a fun truck.

The truck is supposed to be 55mm longer, and 25mm wider than stock. Pretty big if ya ask me. And those tires are almost 7 inches tall.

Nice work Pat... IMO the new Savage is a dissapointment.. The tire compound and engine look interesting, however the new body/chassis look like @$$

LOOKS!!! are you guys so hooked up on 'looks' that you over look performance. I think the extended chassis is gonna give much better handling and performance. some of the comments i see about 'looks' make me think you guys are wearing skirts. who cares what something 'looks' like as long as it's bad ass and performs better. Just my bold 2 cents.

+ 1
but it looks fine to me, maybe its beacuse i am used to a baddass truck and not a shiny pevo!!!!! if u guys realy want something that looks nice then go get a pevo but when a savay runs it over and u r out ur 5 bills then dont coem back crying to us

what's the point of makeing something strong and then not puting enough effort into makeing it appealing to sell? i love my savage and trust that this XL would be as tough but i'd rather drive something that i can display at the end of the day, i can't can't display somthing that looks like "poo"!!

man after seeing the spacers it makes me really think that HPI is desperate for sales. i've never understood spacers, yes they give a wider stance but they also put more load on the steering servo because there's more leverage at the end of the wheel due to the wheels being farther away from the point of pivot. Instead of changing the up-rights and axles, HPI should have lengthen the arms and dog bones, it problaly would have been an easier rout. plus it would have made widening the older savy's alot easier and more effective.

now it's a true 1:8.

I was thinking the same thing. That extra size/weight is probably why it has a pretty deep 52T spur and 3spd. I'm not complaining though.

eatmydust- awesome post

look at those pictures i am kinda starting to like this truck a lot. I have a 25 with lrp .28 and this thing just seems like it fixes every problem ive had. Diffs, spurs, dog bones, bad steering servo, I think they should have put a 2.4 radio system in it though. That would of made it more appealing. LST2 has a great radio and so does the MGT 8.0
