Hello, my name is Raúl and I need a very tight servo.

I have tried with HS-805BB because I need much torque, but it has too much looseness.

I use the servo to spin a 1 meter beam and it acquires inertia when it moves from a distant angular position.
As a consequence of this inertia, the beam bounces once achieved the desired position.

I want to cushion that bouncing as much as possible and I thought I could do it by changing to a servo:
- With metal gears instead of nylon gears.
- Of a smaller scale as smaller gears may have less looseness.
- Digital. As digital servos have more accuracy than standard ones, they should have less looseness.

Although I don’t need as much torque as I have with HS-805BB I need a strong servo. I have thought of the following:
- HS-5985MG
- HS-5998TG
- HS-5745MG

Do you think I’ll be able to solve my problem with any of those?

Thank you for the attention,
Raúl

I think you are on the right track... most likely the bounce you are referring too is the lack of holding torque from the analog servo. The 5745MG would probably be your best choice due to the larger size but the standard size 5955TG has the best gears and performance on any servo Hitec offers.

Mike.
