If the engine is designed to run on zero nitro, it's probably a high-comp engine. I think I would have put all the shims in. The high-comp and the possible questionable metallurgy may be responsible for the broken rods and crankshafts in the early MDS engines. I use 15% PM fuel for the most part as well, but I also use 5% in the Rossi's and 20/20 in the YS engines....all PowerMaster. The figures Kmot got were not impressive, but he had the makeshift exhaust on it. You really have to run it open pipe to see what you have. FBD.
