I am particularly interested in a "model" for the E-Sky Lama V4

Thank You in advance!!

RC-SIM is a free site for model and landscape uploads/downloads
most 2,7 models work with 2.8

Go to the FMS site ..look in the link.
look in experiments lab and stuff like that.

or just google fms models, you get veriouse sites that'll come up.

or you can just use the NEW FREE heli-x (heli-x.net).
There's a lama model

Heli-x has a cool feature that allows you to scale a model to any size you want.
Just down load the how to make a model for Heli-x..there's instructions in there.

bascailly you just open the models' XLM file (model's execute and perimeters )with NOTEPAD.
Near the bottom of the text you'll see ...." SizeofscaledeterminantPart Edit="no">0.7< " .....The model's scale is slaved that.
Smaller models are set at .7 but you can change that.

You can also adjust's the model's posistion in the scenerie's XML files in Heli-X. In FMS it's the .scn files.
So if you're trying to fly a smaller model, you might need to bring the model close to you as a starting piont.

In FMS there's 3D landscaping and photolistic/ skybox landscape.
Heli-X runs only in skybox at the moment until someone design a 3D scenery for it.

So bascailly you can use Heli-x sceneries for FMS. Just converter all the of the skybox images to .bmp files
and use one of FMS skybox .scn to run it. The Toyosu sceneries is a simple template for that.
Or you can load photolistic sceneries pre made off of Harald's site., and down load the .scn files that he wrote for them
for FMS.

Anyway, in regular 3D scenery . I wrote a little patch to allow you to raise the pilot's hieght (the Z posistion)
Look in the pilot's posistion thread in the FMS site.

In the 3DFLYX scenery. It's a 3D scenery. I minmapped in the terrrain surrounding the pilot.
Which makes the terrain looks more photolistic. I also wrote 2 .scn files for it.
One you can take off on the Helipad and the other you can take off on the runway.
Trun on the mipmapping while using that scenery..if you wanna use it.

In Photolistic mode of FMS, to get a better perspectrive of a scenery or sort of like scaling your model.
Also turn OFF the FOG while in photolistic landscape.

Change the THIRD colume of the pilots position. Increasing that number will raise the camera's view..therefore making your
models look smaller. Then adjust the moldel's positioning FIRST colume...The highter the number , the farther the model will be from you.

Just keep trying becuase it didn't download the first time i tried...just a lot of peopple downloading it ...i guess.
Get both version just incase and read the TEXT (instructions).
If you can't get it to load send me a PM and I'll hook you up with a copy.

The lama that's in Heli-x is based off of a model from FMS.

In FMS you can edit the par. file via Notepad to change the model's parimeters or physics.
Some par. files are in german, coded or in english. You can simply replace the par. file of a model with an english version..
this way you'll understand what you're adjusting. The same applies to Heli-X, expect it's the XML file.
The trick is to adjust the perimeters to resymble your model as close as posisable. Both sims has wind options ,so you'll want to adjust that
a little bit. Turn OFF FIX camera in FMS. This will allow the model to drift from the center of the screen.
In Heli-X..trun ON the smooth horizontal camera..this dose the samething.

you can also just use a paint software to change the mapped on image of a model to make them to whatever colors or skins that you want.

After I scaled down the lama in heli-x..i just did this to have another version of the same model..and adjust the perimeters to make it fly different.
Basically i can make it fly like a 3D nitro heli if i wanted to.
