but you did try to compare the 2, isnt that what our whole converstaion is about? You dont see the savage because i got rid of it. its a good truck, i wont take that away from that but very unstable and flips easily.

you keep trying to compare the 2, cheaper, faster, slower more money, it doesnt matter, they are 2 different things, a benz s500 will ride better than corvette but the corvette will eat it up, the vette costs less than the s500 but what does that matter? i am done with this conversation

The whole point of the thread was comparing the two, hinse the first post. We have numerous nitro trucks, revo 3.3, (2) t-maxx, Savage, Savage X, Himoto , and some others. Yeah, the Himoto is faster than the others. BUT, that does not make it better. Doesn't really matter because a change of gears and my savage will run side by side with the Himoto. It is a very good truck for the money. But in the same, I have never turned my Savage chassis into a V. We love to bash, therefore the Himoto is not the best truck for us due to a not so durable chassis. I'm not saying that we don't break parts on are other trucks, because we do. It goes along with the territory of bashing. My point being, the Himoto is great for speed. The Savage is great for bashing. That is like saying that the Avelanche is better then a drift car because it is faster. Your not going to win a drift race with a Avelanche. Saying the Redcat is better than the Savage is just rediculous. Yeah it is also a nice R/C for the money but it is in a totally different class and half the size. And to whoever said that faster wins races, you show me a ROAR race were a Redcat is racing a Savage. The best car is the car that suits your purpose. I'm not going to go out and buy a 4tec to bash on our track or to take to Uncles Joe's RC World and race against an LST2 on the dirt because it serves no purpose. They are both good in their own respect. Sorry for the lengthy post, but I hate seig people tring to split hairs. Threads like this are bound to get flamed due to people beng biassed because they had a bad expeirience with a product or heresay that they have heard from others. I got razzed by mybuddies for buying HPI instead of Traxxas because they think traxxas is the best thing envented since the wheel. Anyways, agree to disagree and leave it at that.

Wow, this turned into a complete waste of a thread, LOL. Just to throw in my two cents, I own two savages, one each of the tornados Tornado bb and shockwave, one each of the entire Himoto megap series, and have owned a couple different traxxas vehicle(sold them). For my money I prefer the savage for serious hardcore bashing, traxxas(like i said sold them ), All the himoto megaps are great on the track and handle well(the truggy rocks), Redcat buggies are great for straight out speed and light bashing. That's my two cents, I prefer HPI savage for the hardcore stuff.
