simplecj -> Questions about LARGE 720 M1 cell pack... (2/11/2008 6:20:15 AM)

Ok, so I'm working with some others on a project which will be using a very LARGE arrangement of A123 M1 cells, 720 of them to be exact... Proposed arrangement is 120s 6p [X(] This will be done with "flat bricks" of 6p 6s, two packs of 10 flats wired in series for a total voltage of 396v and about 12Ah with a max sustained draw of about 420A. Needless to say this is for an electric vehicle, not a remote control.... LOL!! [:D] I just figured some M1 enthusiasts might want to discuss this monster pack for fun! Anyways, I'm trying to understand if there's any way to figure out charging requirements for a pack this large and if anyone is aware of build-in circuitry that will allow the pack to auto-balance itself (perhaps across each set of 6p cells??). I was looking at the only other battery pack of this magnitude that i could find, the KillaCylce 110s 9p pack, and noticed they have little circuit boards across each set of parallels. Anyone have any ideas??? Also, who knows where to find some A123 decals for my RC truck??
