Hi! I currently own both a 73" and a 49" Yak. I have been impressed by the power-weight ratio of the 49" Yak and I would like to put an electric system on my 73". What configuration do you reccomend? I would like a very 3D capable plane.. Please reccomend the motor, ESC, batteries, and any other relevant thing you should consider necessary.

Thanks in advance.

Luis.

I'd look in to a Neu 1515/3D with a 6.7:1 gearbox or a Hacker A60-18M on a Castle 110HV Phoenix ESC. I've been doing research in to a similar plane and I've decided that either of the two motors are the way to go. They seem to like the Mejzlik 20x11E prop as well, but an APC 20x10E is also good.

As far as batteries, most seem to like the 5000maH batteries in a 10S configuration. I'm planning on doing two Maxamps 5S 5000maH packs connected in series for my project in the future. It also seems that anything in the 4000-5000maH range seems to work good as long as you can supply the amps. Flight times are reduced as pack capacity is reduced, but weight also goes down.

Thanks Ben! I'll keep looking around to see what is more convenient, but if you find out something please let me know!

Thanks again.
