How different is it from the DT-02 Neo Falcon.

Iv'e got my 3 Racing shock towers and hubs on order. Iv'e broke 2 stock front shock towers. I also want the C/F stuff for a more "Racing" type look. They will be perfect for the DT-02 MS.

I hate to rain on the parade but the stock towers are more durable than the CF ones. The stock hubs are also better, they won't bend when you roll it.

All that is nice for bling effect, but not necessary.

tex i have to agree with you almost all the stock parts is durable
this is one tamiya kit that is very durable and im loving it for its durbility

Also, the 3racing shock towers have more mounting options for shocks and front turnbuckles.

I got my 3 Racing stuff. When I was taking off the stock parts I discovered the front shock tower was cracked. That would be the 3rd one! I hope I have better luck with the Carbon Fiber. Also, I wanted to comment on the quality of the 3Racing parts. They are awesome! The fit and finish is perfect. I am very happy with them. I will post some pictures later.

3racing items are better than I would expect for inexpensive ones, compared to the Square equivelants which are much more expensive. I actually have Square front c mounts (in pic mounted), and I like the look of the 3racing ones better, they appear more durable with thicker metal where the turnbuckles mount.

I do wish they would have put a 3rd mounting hole for the turnbuckle. I think if we could mount the turnbuckle 1 hole higher it would eliminate ALL the bump steer. (Im afrain to drill carbon fiber myself)

It's easy, just use a new/sharp bit and trim any fibers. Use CA to seal it. You need to use a high speed drill and move through the material at a slow pace. Drill half way through one side, flip it over and drill the rest from the other side.

Hey after reading this thread I purchased a dt02 to race it at my local track. I am racing in the stock class. I wanted something different and I love tamiya. Now my question is which tires and would you guys recomend for racing and would they fit the stock sand viper wheels. I will be using the stock tamiya esc with a C027 motor. Thanks

Any 2.2 racing tire will fit. I currently have Pro Line Holeshot front and rear (the fronts are 4wd tires, and I like the grip) on my stock DT-02 rims.

This kit is nice but I heard that tamiya has a full trf 2wd buggy in development, oople has all that information.
Some of the pro drivers have been running the prototype chassis.
Just thought Id share it with you.

Those are the shocks used in DT-02 MS.. so should be a direct bolt on.. although the springs are different.. (but you can always get the optional spring sets later..)
