My brother has the the gear and I'm waiting on him. I'll let everyone know as soon as I do. I would like to get a 100 piece order so we might get a break. I am not going to have any extras made so when there done thats all there will be.
Bill I knew you could do it.

i guess your right special k but i build street rods.(real ones) and then i got sidetracked into gas pumps and all the while i was colecting r/c toyota bruisers and sand scorchers and dotson big bears and real early nitro powered r/c cars and since i was 19 i was real interested in toy outboard motors. now im more into performance model outboards. then 3 years ago i heard the playing of the native american flute up in gatlinburg. that touched my soul so i started studying and colecting and playing flutes. i now play as a volenteer at lowery park zoo for the children and the animals. i play in competition for my old buds at the local veterans hospital and a couple of restored antique churches.geraldine and i have been married 52 years. she says her hobby is cleaning up after my hobbies. i have more to do now than when i worked for a living. sorry guys i know this isnt AMPS. i got carried away. thanks for endulging an old man

The test came back and that gear is made out of real cheap steel so to its not worth trying to harden it. I do have a call into Rod G he is suppose to know who made them. I'll update when I find them.

The gear is to cheap to heat treat so I will not waste anymore time on it. I talk to Rod Geraghty and he is going to help us out. I will find some its just a matter time.

Joe,
The people you want to find concerning the gears are Jerry Jaycox and Terry Wise.
They were the people running International Hobbies in Ft.Collins Colorado when I.H. went nipples to the sky.
I looked up both names in Zaba Search and there is a Terry Wise listed in Ft.Collins at 1-970-266-6048.
There are several Jerry Jaycox also listed in the Ft.Collins area.
I think with a bit of detective work you should be able to track one or both down.
Either of these guys will know where they purchased the gears and the rockwell rating of same.
I pulled oput my AMPS stuff and guess what......I have epoxy glass molds for both Mercury and OMC cowls.[uppers and lowers[)]
Rod Geraghty

P.S.I will try to contact Kensill.......I know he used to have a path to AMPS parts also.

I just got off the phone with my brother and his shop will make them. Does anyone know what material the gears are made out of? They have some good stainless that they can get to 45 and 60 rockwell.I think the stockers are higher but I don't know what kind of steel they used and maybe the stainless will be better. I am going to get a quote for 50,100,150 and 200 pieces. They do not case harden there so someone else will have to do it if we need it done.

AMPS (TM Products) Hull... but which one?

I've just received this hull as part of a job lot.
I recognised it straight away as a AMPS ( Miller Agnew ) hull as many years ago AMP,
( aka TM Products ) factory was down the road from me in Chateris, England and I used to pop
in from time to visit him. I know this was one of the last production hulls he made but
can't find it listed any where.... anyone on here know it or anything about it?

( BTW, it's for sale! - England )

have you started on that hull . post up some more pics
