I started this thread for thous who are trying to restore their AMPS outboards & hulls and to try help with some tips... if anyone has some old catalogs post them up...and diagrams of the lower ends...maby some knows a shop that can repo some parts ..lets help each other out with these great looking scale out drives and hulls..I know some of us would like to run them instead of them becoming museum pieces like the
K&b sea fury so post up all pics you can ..ken KEEP AMPS GOING hehehehe

Very rare T4 with a Fox .40 as a power head. Doubt this motor has ever been fired up.





Rare AMPS tunnel with another rare motor with a Fox 60 Hawk as powerhead.










IH Seebold Racing tunnel with a K&B 7.5 for powerhead.




Out of all of these, hope to get the Seebold tunnel running at some point. The others are collector items and will kept as such.

thanks ..on your Seebold Racing tunnel was this standerd for the power trim??? made by amps ?like mine??1/4 with a os 65

Only difference to what to the tilt is that the level is vertical instead of horizontal. But yea, thats is the unit on the AMPS tunnel also. You can see the unit in the pic with the driver / cowl laying on the boat.

here is the amps powered baja . ups just delivered it . boy what a whopper and a verry heavy boat . the engine has internal probs and so does the drive foot. body is in pretty good shape for its age.

i started takeing the engine apart last knight .the front berring under the starter cone was frosen . its turning now feels like a rock crusher. the piston and con rod is missing and the conection drive shaft from the back of the engine to the drive gear in the foot is missing the prop is missing the cowling is missing but its a nice boat. but i dont understand this thing ways a ton even with the engine removed . oh well its on the way. bill payne

look on eBay for a os 46 duct fan engen all you have to do is take the water cool head off of your's and put it on the new one..how is the pto on it? hope good because amps is the only on who made it

That is super cool!!..... I didn't know they made anything like that.
Do they still make them?
