I must respectfully disagree, CP. I am not sure how many engines I own or have run, but the number must exceed 300 and I have yet to find one I could not injure myself with regardless of propeller material.

I've hurt myself on the dang test stands that were holding the engines, so, I'm not really worried about prop material.

So was my reply. The subtlety of these posts is so intricate...

...well the word I got is the designer of the TT .07 is the Son of the guy who designed the Gilbert .07, who was the son of the first ever clerk who worked the counter at the DMV.

TT GP-07, I was just wondering if anyone has picked one up from TowerHobbies or ThungerTiger4U at all yet and was it the new version as seen at Toledo Show?

I've been begging for somebody to send me one of their less than stellar .07 engines to test but to no avail.

I have heard a lot of people complain about the GP07 even when it was new right out of the box. I have found that because of the integral carb it has problems keeping NV adjustments. I simply used the NVA and made a remote NV after which the problem was sorted. I don't know RPM figures yet(trying to find decent Tach) but it makes a fair bit of thrust with only that mod. I also drilled the muffler outlet up to 6.5mm and that made it even better. I am currently making a turbo head for it so that should be interesting. The supposedly "new" GP07 looks exactly like tho "old" one. Is there any real differance?
