So to make a ghost image shouldnt i just set it to shoot two pics on teh same frame but on the second shot move the object out of the fram and have the camera set at F8 1/30 of a second each? Cuase i tried something like that but it did not work. The pic was overexposed. 
you could also consider setting the cammera to "bold mode" (film) and leaving it there for a LONG time in total darkness, you have your first object (ghost) in there, then you turn a flash on it for a fraction of a second, then, you move in the other object and photograph it for the recomended time (on flash...) and then develop, this method should result in what you are after

Just like in this pic. Also i think my lens budget will be about 300 on most likely a nikon d40. So if you have any recomendations let me know.
