The pic was overexposed. you could also consider setting the cammera to "bold mode" (film) and leaving it there for a LONG time in total darkness, you have your first object (ghost) in there, then you turn a flash on it for a fraction of a second, then, you move in the other object and photograph it for the recomended time (on flash...) and then develop, this method should result in what you are after
