Status: offline 		I've got a quick question I want to double check on.

I have a friend that has a Piranha. To charge at 5 amps, he has to use a computer power supply. Between that the info available on Duratrax's website, I can only guess that you must have that power supply to run more than 3 amps on a 110 outlet. I called MRC today about the Super Brain 960 and they claimed that it will charge a full 4.5 amps from a 110 outlet. Is this information true? I ordered a Piranha, but am very seriously reconsidering.

Status: offline 		Yes, that is true. The Digital Piranha is only 3 amps on ac, 5 amps on dc. The 960 is 4.5 on both.

Another thing to consider is that the 960 will charge as fast on 4.5 amps as the digital piranha will on 5 amps because the dig pir does an open voltage check every minute.
