I was wondering how many people out there have mod your plane into somthing differ.
I havent pics for some but mine are 21 wheeled kadet senior, twin tail superstar, racing cropduster, and a few others.

SO, show us pics amd tell us how well your plane flew with the mods you did to your plane, small or big.

heres a pic of my latest, twin tail superstar, flew beter than the original tail. Powered by a M-.46. The tail helped inprove the response of all the controls. All was ended after a inverted pass got alittle to low, now a new tails is being built and the rest of the plane is getting a new shiny coverjob, pics when finished.

Well,

This is not a radical bashing of a 4 * 60, but this was my first kit, and first attempt at modification. From the start, I knew I wanted to do something a bit different from the rather bland "cookie-cutter" 4*60, and decided that a cowl, a sleeker canopy, and wheel pants should do it.

Stan's Fiber Tech supplied the cowl from a Sig Smith Miniplane as well as the wheel pants. I understand that a cowl is currently made for the 4*, either by Stan or Fiberglass Specialties (I am not sure). I purchased the Miniplane cowl before its availability. The Miniplane cowl's thrustline is higher than that of my 4*, a fact that is evident from the pic. Oh well, I still like the look.

The more aerodynamic canopy (not very evident in the pic) came from Bruce Tharpe Engineering. It does not have that characteristic 4* hump which always looked silly to me. Rather, this canopy from the Venture 60 is lower and is actually no higher than the turtle deck. I also borrowed the sleeker, raked back landing gear from the Venture 60. These gear also raise her up a bit more in the front, adding to the different look.

The spinner is a Tru-Turn, and the cockpit is manned by the pilot of all pilots...BUZZ LIGHTYEAR OF STAR COMMAND! He was very deserving of the gold and silver yoke which he hangs onto for dear life!

I haven't flown her yet, but will sometime in May. I am looking forward to it...and so is Buzz!!

I put US Aircore floats on my trainer. I haven't flown it off of the water yet. I still need to install the water rudders.

It should behave ok. The Tower .60 has plenty of get go!

Here's my latest. I wanted a larger elevator on my 27% Extra 300, so here's what I did.

BTW, the Extra is almost fully covered now and should be flying in May!

Here is my 4*120 that I did a few things to. I was wanting a glass cowl but the choices were minimal. So .. I used the cheeks of the plane, made the right side removable, and added a removable top cowl section. Other mods are.... rounded tail feathers (added 1/2" to rudder), made a head rest for the open cockpit. I used the back 1/3 of the supplied canopy for a windshield. I added a tank hatch, and the LG is from TnT which is 3/16" thick and 1" taller. I put on Cub wheels and a Tru Turn spinner. I have a flex pipe exhaust by Saito running from the 150 Saito, around the fuse, and out between the LG. Servos are Hitec 605BB. ...lownslo...
