the savage xl is $589 on tower. take $30 off for the discount. thats not bad. my baja ss cost me $830. then add a reciever, battery, throttle servo, paint, fail safe. etc. baja ss is double the cost of a savage xl.

what do you mean buy "slam"? just because it's a bigger motor does not mean that it performs better. and anyhow, i didn't say anything about out perforrming the xl, i said it looks silly. looks like some one need to learn to READ the posts.

Maybe. I just spent a ton of money on a brushless conversion for my S25 and I can't swing another $600 for the XL right now. If I really, really must have the XL, I will just ebay the brushless stuff. I wish HPI had released this truck before Christmas.

and how would you know the current piccos, lrps, axials,ect... are not up to par with the k5.9? like you say "it's not even out yet" do you own every engine that the guys on this forum runs? i didn't think so. you can't possibly be serious.

My modded S-25 will slam that XL in handling AND power/speed (because it's modded). I would even use the word decimate considering the motor I have. My X SS would also slam that XL but to a lesser extent because of the weaker motor (Axial .28).

Stock for stock is a completely different story...which THEN you would be correct in your statement.

You bet...still don't think that it will be able to hang with the Picco P3 in the S-25. hehe

Same here...the Axial is *nothing* compared to the Picco.

your right, i believe in you get what you pay for. a few friends back in boston have axial .28's. im not really that impressed with that engine. its ok, good down low, not much up top. for a $120 its a deal, but again, you get what you pay for. i love my picco, thats a pretty good engine for the $200. next engine i buy is the o.s. speed 21 vz-bv special. i seen a few of them run and all i can say is its worth the $500......i can also toss my picco in and compare engines......

I AM NEW TO THE nitro trucks, but I was wondering if you had to choose between the three of the trucks listed which one to pick and why. I am going to purchase one of them but am undecided.

1) Savage xl 5.9

2) Cen Genesis 7.7

3) Team Associated MGT 8.o
