wow thats crazy. it must be big.
A. Hey Chris, the track is huge, just like Indi500 style race track, oval shape. If you want more details of it, I am sure you can google it.

any one go there yet to try out there on road cars? i might have to drive down there and take my ct 5 and see how it handles.
A. Is really fun if you have a decent speed car, with a large size track, with CT-5 I am sure you'll have a blast over there.

are there bikers there all the time? i wonder if they would complain about the oil that the cars leave all over the track.

A. Sometimes you see hardcore bicycle dudes with tights there,,,,,hahha watch out for those dudes. BTW, weather is getting better, you will see them. Then again, those guys don't stay long, unless they on steroids, hahahha. That's different issue.
Another good things about the track there's a elevated deck for you to stand on, just like the deck at "Floyed Bennett Field's track"
Oh, weekeneds tends to be more bickers, since most people are off. Try week days are best bet, all the track for yourself.

Hey, Rcnitrohead, everytime I was at floyd bennett field I always see more people with trucks than regular on road sedans. Even last Sunday, I was testing my cars' at the parking lot the other side of the track. And, this guy came with truck with brushless motor, 2 gigantic batteries. That truck even has a strapped on GPS. Shoot, my car doesn't even came with the GPS system. Too bad, I had to go, I ran out of fuel, and + 1 of my car didn't run right as I was expected. The end, didn't get the chance to see that truck run. BTW, 2 weeks ago, It was fun. Tons of people came with trucks/baja's, sedans, we all were doin drag racing.

Hey guys, sorry I havent checked this thread in a while. Anyways, I went to Floyd Bennet to test run my truck and there was a decent turn out on memorial day. Mostly guys running gassers though, there were like 4 HPI Bajas, a few FG's, a few on roads, and I was the only MT guy. The gassers they had were FAST, those guys are serious, they spend thousands upon thousands on their cars. I snapped a really quick vid that I'll put up on youtube, I might go there this sat/sun. Prospect Park used to be an awesome spot to run, but I think you can get a ticket if you run nitro there. Also, there are waaay too many people and little kids, its a bit dangerous

I usually run mine 40 degree front, and 35 degree rear at floyd bennet field.

Also, that depends on your driving style, the coursness of asphalt & and if any traction spray on the asphalt. Generally speaking you always want a little harder fronts than you do rears. Most people run 42 front or 40 front with a 37 or 35 rear. Ofcourse, 26mm front and 30mm rear in 1/10 scale cars. By using the firmer front you reduce chasis rolling. The lower the number the softer the rubber so for low traction a low number set of tires, and when the traction is good you run higher numbers, especially nice hot weather.

Hey Chris, those tires you mentioned, try it and see how it feels on the track. If doesn't work well, try the tires what I mentioned. The Jaco tires are great. They are really cheap if you get it online. Shoot, $23 a pair from the hobby shop, when you can get $10.99 a pair from online.
