Hey all just wanted to start this thread to see who races and bashes from the queens area.. as you know there are no tracks to race here, so most of us travel outside the borough to the Bronx and some areas in Brooklyn and long island. Here we can talk about anything RC, nitro, electric, touring, trucks and buggies, tips and tricks, show pics.. talk about where in queens you bash in and if theres any capable tracks to race in. lastly share some insight that some of us may not know about queens RC activities.

Sup, I live in Brooklyn, and my favorite spot is Floyd Bennet Field if you know where that is. I'm 16 and cant drive really, so I can only get around to bashing when my bro can drive me and bring his S-maxx with him. I also own a highly modded T-maxx and one fast HPI Savage Tom.

Not really, thats my main spot. In the summer we had a huge drag race there, check the vid out: http://youtube.com/watch?v=KRtiP7vRK3c It was pretty cool with tons of people, but I had throttle problems during practice so I was out I usually do either speed runs there (my trucks are setup for street driving now), or I hit the sand dunes and take on some 15-20ft jumps. Right now, all of our vehicles are out of commission But I will be ordering all the necessary parts the latest next week in order to get my T-maxx and Savage running. Strangely enough, I'm not really familiar with your cars, I'll need to look them up on google My T-maxx is equipped with a Sirio .18, RDLogics chassis, RPM hardware all around, Traxxas blue tuned pipe, and both trucks are equipped with their own Futaba 3PM FASST 2.4Ghz systems. The Savage is a 25, it has an STS .30 which *may* be able to give your lipp car a run for its money for the first 40mph I have an LCG chassis, street treads, DD brakes, and tons more on it.. Maybe sometime later we can get a good bash session going somewhere.. I just hope more people in our area find this thread Tom.

the losi Mf2 is a electric stadium truck, the Xray is a electric touring car, as you can tell i am into electrics, brushless electric that is. 40 not bad for a big MT. i have a radar gun but didnt get the chance to gun it with the lipo. so making assumptions my xray should do around 60. my truck around 45-50. I am also running a futaba fasst, love that radio..

I wish.. My lhs (Brooklyn Hobbies) was supposed to build one for this season but it never happened.. However, Floyd Bennet Field doesnt have some awesome sand dunes and mulch piles

Not too sure, my Savage actually had a problem getting stuck once in a while in the sand.. I'd say only if you have paddles..
